Ellie is an Edinburgh based photographer and storyteller whose practice is rooted in, and inspired by, the beauty of everyday life. Her work spans documentary-inspired portraiture, community focused projects, and commissioned work. Shaped by light, movement, and colour, her images often hold quiet moments with warmth and care. Across her practice, there is a clear interest in people, how they live, and the ways photography can make space for visibility and recognition.

Beyond the images, Ellie is a community gatherer and optimist. She works from a place of connection, from co-founding storytelling and networking events, to partnering with art directors, producers, stylists, and agencies to bring ideas to life.

With fifteen years in practice, her work spans campaigns, editorial features, brand storytelling, and community-focused projects. Clients include: Mastercard, The Times, Leith Agency, Stripe Communications, Build Hollywood, Sainsbury’s Bank, RBS, Scottish Government, St James Quarter, John Doe, Greenroom Films, Weber Shandwick, Caledonia Sleeper, Black and White Publishing, and Naked Grouse amongst others.
