Ellie is an Edinburgh based photographer and storyteller whose practice is rooted in emotion and inspired by the beauty of everyday life. Her work spans documentary-inspired portraiture, community focused projects, and commissioned work. Shaped by light, movement, and colour, her images often hold quiet moments with warmth and care. Across her practice, there is a clear interest in people, how they live, and the ways photography can make space for visibility and recognition.

With fifteen years in practice, her work spans campaigns, editorial features, brand storytelling, and community-focused projects. She has collaborated with clients including Royal Bank of Scotland, Scottish Government, St James Quarter, Weber Shandwick, The Times, Sainsbury’s Bank, Greenroom Films, Caledonian Sleeper, Leith Agency, University of Edinburgh, Stripe Communications, Mastercard, Black and White Publishing, and Naked Grouse, among others.

Beyond the images, Ellie is a community gatherer and optimist at heart. Her practice is rooted in connection, from co-founding creative storytelling and networking events to collaborating with art directors, producers, stylists, and agencies to bring ideas to life.
